winter is past

I've started a Bible study on the Song of Songs...it's by Mike Bickle. It's been incredible so far. The truths of the Word are beginning to wash over my heart, soften me and awaken desire in my heart for the Bridegroom King.

"My beloved spoke, and said to me" 'Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away. For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in our land...rise up my love, my fair one, and come away! O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely." SOS 2:10-14

I think it's pretty incredible that the King in all his beauty and splendor wants to see my face, that he wants to hear my voice. He wants to know me in the secret places...where no one else can know me. "I am my beloved's and his desire is toward me" 7:10 One of my prof's always said that true fellowship is to be fully known and fully loved...and that's what he wants with us...fellowship, union, oneness. And when he sees us and hears us he calls it sweet and lovely. Talk about full acceptance! The one who sees all and knows all fully accepts us!! I want to rise in obedience to "come away with him"...to know and be known by him in the clefts of the rock.
